What Does 21st Literacy Mean To Me

21st Century Literacy Means that it's online, on a computer, and for the most part not on pen/pencil and paper. because we are in the 21st century we have all sorts of good technology to help us send information to people across the world. Now since we are in the 21st century we don't have the same experience as our parents and teachers and other adults had when they were a kid. With that being said since we don't have the same experience as them we sort of have the upper hand at this because everything we need to know is at our finger tips. Now with it being the 21st century is we have some E-Books and Real books but it seams some younger kids want the E-books because as we grow up everybody wants to make life a lot simpler.

The Giver My thoughts

My thoughts on The Giver is that I am wondering what "released" in the beginning they talk about a pilot being "released" from the community. And when a child is born in this community they Are not taken care of by their parents but Nurturers until they are one then they have the ceremony of names where they are assigned a name a number and a family. And each family has to request permission before getting a new child in there family. Each family is only allowed to have two children one boy and one girl.
